Preflight Dialog Box Issue

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on a Windows 10 PC. The program was re-installed to this PC in Nov. 2015 after replacing a Windows 7 PC. I'm uncertain as to whether this is the correct place in the forums, if not, feel free to move it

The problem I am having is that the Preflight dialog box is unreadable. The height of the spaces containing the labels of the various elements is too short causing the text to be concealed almost totally (see screen capture below). My display is currently set at 3820 x 2160 (recommended). I have already attempted to resolve this with various display setting changes to no avail. The software is up-to-date.

None of the other tool dialogs exhibit this issue in this program.

One other program I had wouldn't display properly either and I had to uninstall it because there was no work-around. I hope that is not the case with this one because I paid dearly for it. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Nope, and my software is updated now to v11.0.15. Is no one else using this program in Windows 10? Is no one else using this program with a high resolution monitor? Is no one else running Preflight on their PDF creations? I guess until a few thousand users start complaining about this issue, Adobe won't do anything and you and I are up a creek.

It may be a long shot, but have a look at the resolution values in the Page Display tab of the Preferences. Try setting it to either half or twice the value.

Hope this can help.

Changing page display values in preferences had no effect whatsoever.

Sorry to hear that; it was a long shot.

I know that my suggestion is not really acceptable (it would not be so for me…). Try reducing the screen size in the Windows system settings. This should make the texts become visible; you may also try changing the text size in the Windows system settings. It looks as if the text in the dialog does not scale properly, in relationship to the size of the icons (that's why I initially suggested to play with the display values in the Acrobat Preferences).

As the Preflight tool is acquired software by Adobe, it is possible that some of the newest adjustments for screen size have not properly made it to that dialog…

I tried all manner of windows system settings, changed fonts, etc., no effect whatsoever.

This was working correctly under AAPX, it wasn't until I upgraded to XI that it began doing this. And it is only happening on my Surface Pro tablet.

I wonder if it's fixed in the current version, DC, which replaced XI...

The Preflight Dialogs display perfectly fine under Windows 10 with Acrobat DC Pro. I tested it on a ThinkPad P70 notebook with a 17" 4K screen. No problems that I can see.

Doesn't really help me though. I can't upgrade from 11 to DC.
