Print to PDF

I have two users who use Adobe Acrobat.  One uses Acrobat X and the other uses Acrobat XI.  When printing to PDF from a website Acrobat X does not allow the user to edit the text in the document but when the other user prints to same document to PDF they can edit the text in Acrobat XI.

On Acrobat X the user gets the error message when trying to edit:

All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font

In both of the documents the text font is displayed as an unknown font:

Is there a way around this?  How can I get the Print to PDF function to change all the font to Arial or Times New Roman?

    Good idea!  I didn't think of this.  Although, our users use an online software that keeps the information internal so I don't know if it will work or not.  I could try saving the webpage as html or try doing a screen capture and create from that but I won't be able to test this until the user is back at work on Wednesday.

      You can only edit text if the font that is used for the text in question is available on your computer. It is not sufficient to have that font embedded in the PDF file, it needs to be installed and available on your computer. Because the font that is used in this OCR'ed file is a made up font that exists only for this one particular document, it cannot be installed on your computer, and that's why Acrobat X says "sorry, but I cannot do that". Editing scanned PDF files is an area that Adobe has worked on over the last few years, and because of that, Acrobat XI is not as strict as Acrobat X anymore: It allows you to edit the text, but you will have to match the font so that the edit does not look artificial. In Acrobat DC, you can do even more, and the internal font is now available for your edits (but this only applies to scanned and OCR'ed documents).

      In Acrobat X, you can first change the font that is used for a certain section of text to a font that is installed on your computer and similar enough to not change formatting and the look of the document too much. Once that is done, you can then edit the text.

        So the only way around it is to change the font first and then edit?  Is there a way to convert all the text in the document to a different font at once?
