you have to use the correct install file that matches your serial number.  eg, if your serial number is for a suite that includes acrobat x, you must use the suite install files to install acrobat.  also, if you have a pro serial, you must use the pro install files, not the std.

Could you let us know the exact version of mac ?

Could you please provide us the exact error message you get ? Please share the exact error message.

Good Morning

We have a Macbook Pro El Capitan OS.

We installed the adobe acrobat pro x Mac from the adobe site. After the install and the request for the serial number it indicates serial number not good for this product.

We have verified the serial number with adobe, which they indicated it's valid. Because the version is X, they pointed me here for help.
