When I click to convert a MS Word or Excel file to a PDF a box appears asking for me to enter the serial number of the product and then register. Completing this process then leads to nothing; and then 30 secs later asks me to do it again, and then again, etc.
The product has been registered since 2014 - I have checked this on my account. Help would be appreciated so I can get back to doing conversions to PDF as I have been able to normally do in the past. I have Windows 10.

Thanks Sukrit for your comprehensive reply.
When I attempt to convert an MS Word, Excel or a webpage to a PDF a box appears which is headed "Serial Number" and its message is 'Please provide a serial number'. In my earlier posting I explained that entering the serial number leads to nothing.
I have read through the link you provided which refers to a message - "The serial number is not valid for this product" when installing Adobe Acrobat. This is not the exact message I receive; and my Adobe Acrobat was installed quite some time ago.
I ran the "repair installation" and it fixed the problem for a few hours; but it is now returned with another additional message as follows:
"Adobe Acrobat is not activated. Cannot create the PDF file".
I have checked my Adobe Account which states my Adobe Acrobat is registered since 2014.
Can I ask whether the suggested fixes (as explained via the link Sukrit kindly provided) would be applicable to the problem I am experiencing or is an alternative fix required as my problem appears to be slightly different.

It would be appreciated if my question above dated 21 & 22 April, 2016 could be attended to please. I have been unable to use Adobe Acrobat for two months.
I can't say that I'm satisfied with the 'service' I have received as I have been left with a genuine problem unresolved for many weeks.
Help would be appreciated.

This is not Adobe Technical Support. If you want to get more immediate attention then contact Adobe directly.
However, if you provide the full details of the problem here we might be able to help you out. You haven't even stated the most basic details yet (OS version, Acrobat version), so how can we help you?

Thanks for your reply. I now appreciate I have failed to provide essential information.
My problem is with Acrobat XI Standard Version 11.0.16 (Registered November 16, 2014) which has been routinely updated. I am using Windows 10.
When I attempt to convert an MS Word, Excel or a webpage to a PDF, or attempt to merge two pdf's, a box appears which is headed "Serial Number" and its message is 'Please provide a serial number'. I enter the serial number and then nothing happens and the box disappears. Sometimes (not always) I am asked to register the product which I do - but the problem remains. I have checked my account several times and my Acrobat Standard is registered.
I have run the repair function but this made no difference to the problem.
Thanks you.

OK, that's better. Now, did you try the steps described in the link provided above? If so, what were the results?

Thanks. I will follow the steps described in the link provided. Give me a few days please and I will respond with the outcome.
I am now getting a new message when trying to convert a MS Office document to a PDF. A box appears with the heading "Acrobat PDF Maker" and with the message "Adobe Acrobat is not activated. Cannot create the PDF file".
However the software is registered and had previously worked perfectly up until a few months ago.
I will be in touch once I have followed the steps as per the link. Thanks.

I ended up uninstalling and re-installing Acrobat XI Standard. I have tested it in several ways and appears to be working as normal. Thanks
