Hi everyone,

Is it possible to restrict editing of a pdf with a permission password in javascript?

Is it also possible to set the password security settings in javascript? (printing allowed, changes not ... etc.)

Regards.

You can't set password security with Javascript. Why want you do this?

I want to place a stamp on the document and automatically protect the document afterwards.
As I have problems sharing Tools an Actions (see https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/acrobat-dc-share-custom-tools-and-actions/m-p/11354663?page=1) I would prefer to add the Restrict Editing function to the javascript of the stamp, as sharing stamps works just fine with copying them in the 'stamps' folder.

Info: Javascript code at stamps will be performed before placing the stamp.
