Reverted from Windows 10 back to 7; can't uninstall/reinstall Acrobat Reader DC

An ill-advised update to Windows 10 included an upgrade for Acrobat Reader.  After 3 weeks of issues, I've reverted to Windows 7.  Now I have NO working Acrobat Reader. I tried uninstalling Adobe Reader XI (11.0.14), but am unable to.  I keep getting this message: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.  Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'AcroRead.msi' in the box below."  This file is no longer on my computer (I've searched everywhere), but I'm stuck. Cannot uninstall.  Cannot re-install without uninstalling the upgraded version.  Please help before I loose my mind.

Hi michelleg99305310,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please run this cleaner tool : Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Restart the system and install reader XI from this link : Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Also would like to inform you that Reader DC is the latest reader version . If you wish to install the latest version you can install it from the above link .

Let us know if this helps.

Thank you for this, Sarojini.Nagar  I ran the cleaner and then tried to install.  I used the links you gave me.  I got the same error message.  Again.  I tried cleaning again.  I tried installing again.  Same message.  I'm about to go find another comparable program.  I've spent far too many hours on this today.  Unless you have another suggestion...
