Hello there

i see this issue answered by DOV but it is not working for me, any assistance would be greatly appreciated

In my preflight pane i am setting everything as needed (at least i think so)

I have created a single fixup named 'k to cmyk'

k to cmyk.PNG

And after i run the fix it does absolutely nothing to my 0,0,0,100 black text, not sure why

black values.PNG

in the image i am 'OUTPUT PREVIEW' selecting the 'layer1 black' text

my layer 2 is already set to 30,30,30,100 which is what the fixup should be doing to the layer1 text as well

Thanks again for any input, i have wasted hours over this tiny detail

Dave

You need to start with the Map Color fixup, it looks like you started with the convert to spot color fixup.

See this thread for an example of a preflight profile that will map colors.

Acrobat Pro Preflight Fixup: How to map lot of colors?

You probably already know you don't want to convert small black type to rich black because of possible registration issues.

Tried the mapping, works like a charm

as for registration, i need it for 2 things, a setup for a digital press and an onkjet press, both which don't really suffer the registration issues of offset machines. My goal is to punch up my black on uncoated stocks, but thanks

Thanks for the input

Cheers

Dave
