saving edited file

Using a mac; I edited a pdf file (a blank form) using Fill and sign tool, but when I tried to save it using Save as, it saved the blank form and none of my editorial additions.

Also when I tried to print it, it printed the blank form. I emded up losing all my edits, 3 hours work ;-(

Were you editing the blank pdf form within a web browser? Are you using Acrobat Reader, Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard ?

I was using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and I was editing it within that programme
