Unwanted bold font

I am working with Roboto font in Word, and trying to create PDF using Acrobat Pro DC. It's converting all the font, except the italics, into bold font. How do I fix this problem? I have already checked the embedded font settings, and it's all correct.

The thread you included gave me enough information to question whether I had the "whole" Roboto family. When I compared it, I was missing the "regular" and one other. I didn't question it previously because I could get it to work correctly on the print as a PDF function!!
