Upgrading my Adobe Acrobat version

I have Acrobat version XI installed on my computer and want to upgrade to DC 2015. I have misplaced the product key for XI. Will I need the XI product key to purchase and install DC 2015? Do I have to enter the XI product key during the DC 2015 installation? Should I remove XI before installing DC 2015 or simply install it over XI?

You will need the serial number from XI to install a DC upgrade. It might be in your Adobe account if you registered.
