What do I do after install of AC Pro froze?

Running Mac OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite) and using Safari 10.1.  Installer got to 100% installed and then it 'hung'??  I waited at least 10 minutes and then did a force quit on the Adobe Installer.  Although I downloaded a free trial version, the software will not let me use it without trying to force me to buy a subscription NOW.  (Thought the free trial was to give one time to evaluate the product??)  How do I re-install a real free-trial version, and get the software to run without the hyper-aggressive attempts to get a subscription NOW? Bottom line is this version will not run. Do I need to somehow clear out the "bad" install and try a 2nd time with another browser?  And also, should I switch to Chrome or Firefox as the 2nd attempt to install browser?  Thanks for your help. And please forgive the mini-diatribe. Frustrated and frankly I expect better from Adobe. They're usually so excellent that I'm shocked to have problems with one of their newer products.

there's nothing easy to do to restore a trial that expires early on the same computer, Adobe trial software expired early

you can install the trial on another computer.
