When I email a PDF the recipient can not open?

New Here ,

Hello,

I am on a Macbook Pro using using the latest version of CC. When I save a file as a PDF and send it as an attachment via Mac Mail, the recipient gets the following message...

Acrobat could not open "ABC123.pdf" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't decoded)."

Any help would be appreciated.

Andrew

My guess is the recipient is trying to open the PDF from his email, ask him to drag the PDF attachment to his desktop, then open.

It's also remotely possible some anti virus software is breaking the PDF, try zipping the PDF, then sending.

Make sure the file you are sending has the .pdf extension.
