I have PDF Architect & Creator (as well as Read). These programmes are not working as they should and I cannot find a way of repairing them

I can create a .pfd file from my scanner or by converting from a Word doc.  However, when I come to read the new .pdf file, it automatically reverts it to a Word file that is an aberrant version.  Is the software faulty?  I have also been frustrated in searching for answers because Adobe only lets you find answers to set questions and there is not email or chat facility.

1. PDF Architect is not an Adobe product, we can't help with it.

2. When you open this problem file, and you say it reverts to a Word document, what is the App at the time? Look along the title bar of the app to see what it says, for example, PDF Architect, Acrobat Reader, Adobe Reader, Microsot Word...?
