PDF issues with Microsoft Publisher 2016

I have been producing a newsletter since the beginning of June 2016 using Microsoft Publisher Windows 10. It prints perfect and the PDF file has printed perfectly until yesterday.   Now, if I import a graphic image with a white background and select the re-color button, then select the transparent background color option for that graphic image, the background looks perfect on screen. When I save the file as a PDF, the image retains the white background. What is going on and how can this issue be fixed? Has anyone else started having this issue?

How do you save the document as a PDF file? Adobe has not been providing a PDFMaker for MS Publisher in a while, so it's very likely that you are using Microsoft's own PDF generator. In that case, you need to ask in a MS Publisher specific forum for help. We don't know anything about how Publisher creates a PDF file. Try here for example: Microsoft Community
