Why does failed to connect to DDE Sever Fatal Error code keep reoccurring?

This is now day two of this error code. We restarted our computer Friday uninstalled Acrobat then reinstalled and seemed to work fine. now at the end of my day it is happening again. my question is why is this occurring? and how do I get it to stop.
