Adobe Pdf postscript printing problem

We have an application running on windows XP . It generates word documents (.doc). It's running fine

Now we are migrating to windows 7. While testing in win 7, a message is thrown saying "when you create a postscript file you must rely on system fonts and use document fonts ..............." . When i click ok, the application ends without printing the .doc files (Adobe pdf printer).

As mentioned in the error, i followed the steps to Turn off the option (uncheck) to rely on system documents in the Adobe Pdf settings. By doing this, reports get printed.

In XP machine the option to rely on system document is Turned On (checked) and reports are printing fine. Why there is a problem in windows 7 machine.

Is there anything that i need to configure or install, so as to keep the option turned on.

If you want to make a permanent change to printer settings use the Printers Control Panel.

And be aware if migrating it could be a good time to move to supported software versions.

By supported software versions.. could you please help me out with what version should i use. I have already given the adobe version's in xp and win 7.

All the apps you named in XP are out of support so it's a good time to get the current version. Beware of being selective; if you upgrade one thing it's like an avalanche and you can expect to have to upgrade everything. Happily, although Windows 7 is very old, it's still supported by current apps, but it started the snow moving. Especially important not to try to upgrade Office without Acrobat, or Acrobat without Office. The current versions of Acrobat and Reader is "DC 2017", of Office it's 2016.  Subscriptions to both should've considered. With cyber threats only increasing, keeping absolutely up to date is considered a must by many.  (Note, I just saw the second column, hidden by my phone. Office 2013 is still supported, Acrobat 9 is not)
