Question

Can I set a PDF to always print on legal size paper?

I'm working with Acrobat 9.0 Pro on a PC. I'd like to be able to set my PDF documents to always default to legal size paper when printing. The problem is that a lot of my clients aren't all that tech-savvy and have trouble either setting or remembering to choose Legal as the paper size. So it would be a great benefit to be able to pre-determine that for them in the PDF file settings.

Traditionally, I think paper size for printing is set in the printer's settings even if they're accessed through Acrobat's Print dialog. But I was hoping that there might be some kind of override.

Thanks to anyone that can help!

If your document size is legal than you can set the print default paper size.

With the document open,

File > Properties > Advanced tab

Toggle "Paper Source by Page Size"

Hi buppdr80,

Please provide the exact dot version of the software & OS installed at your system .Also check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "

Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.

Also would request you to please check with the Admin rights on the system. If its a office system please check with IT .

Also please check with the Different user account to replicate the issue :- https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/create-local-administrator-account-windows.html
