I want to develop a plug-in on my own. The reader versions is Acrobat Reader DC and I use Acrobat DC SDK. I build the Starter demo in the SDK Samples and copy .api into ~\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins, but reader no detected the Starter plug-in.Why?

Then I use Visual Studio App Wizard in VS2013 and built a very simple project. When I open reader it tell me the error "Invalid plugin detected. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will quit". I need to know the cause of the error. Is it because my plug-ins need adobe official  certificate? If so, do they have provided to developers temporary certificate and free?

The question has bothered me for a few days, Iwant to know the solution urgently. Thanks.

Correct answer Test Screen Name

No temporary certificate is needed. Plugin developers must test with the paid-for Acrobat. Once it is working Reader plugins need to apply for a license, which is only granted in certain cases. Fee is by negotiation and can rise to $30,000 per year or more. No free is payable for plugins for Acrobat.
