PES files are downloading and turning into Adobe Acrobat Doc.

Help I have had no trouble downloading pes files for my embroidery machine until today and it has turned all PES files to Adobe Acrobat Doc. which of course does not recognize them.  Please help!

As i was able to understand the issue from the description mentioned above, .pes files on your computer are now opening in Adobe Acrobat, is that correct?

Try setting the default program for .pes to the application you used to open .pes file in and see if that works.

Which operating system is installed on the machine-Mac/Windows?

This happens in the download of the files.

This is a problem in the download of files.  Not opening them.  They will not open because they say they are adobe files and they are not.

As the default application for .pes file has been set to Acrobat Reader (which opens .pdf files), the downloaded pes files will also show the pdf icon.

1- Try locating one of the pes files on the computer>right-click>Properties

2- Click Change under Opens with

3- Check if you are getting the application which opens pes files.

4- If you recognize the application, select it and click OK
