Hi FLSnuffy-af0g,

Are you running into a particular snag when you try to activate, or just need general help? Either way, this document should help you get your copy of Acrobat activated: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html#activate-how...

Please let us know if you need additional assistance.

Best,

Sara

TY for responding so quickly, Sara.

I followed that link earlier (several times) and ended up going in circles.

I bought the software @ an on-line software store and need to find out whether the software was downloaded or provided via CD.

Can you tell that from the license?

The old computer is crashing and currently in use in the safe mode.  I need to review e-mails from the purchase date to refresh my memory.

The new computer is using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Operating system.

Can the license number determine the activation steps?

What additional information do you need to know?

Thank you,

Ron

From the tools that I have access to, I can't tell whether your software was a download or CD. (You may be able to tell if you log in to your Adobe.com account...)

So, let's take this back a step. You aren't necessarily to the activation stage yet, is that correct? It sounds like you need to install Acrobat on the new computer (activation will come later after it's installed). And, it sounds like you may not have the installation media (downloaded installer or CD)?

For starters, you should be able to retrieve your serial number by following the steps under I lost My Serial Number is this document: Find your serial number quickly

Once you have that, you can download Acrobat 9 by following these instructions:

Go to the web page : http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=en

Login with your Adobe ID and Password. Now instead of clicking on the download button copy and paste the following link on the address bar and hit enter :http://trials2.adobe.com/Applications/Acrobat/APRO/9/trials/AcroPro90_ efg.exe

This is the direct download link for Acrobat 9.

Once Acrobat is installed, you should be able to activate it with your serial number.

Best,

Sara

I have the serial number and have downloaded the trial version on the new computer.

Have not been able to find the screen that asks for the serial number of Adobe Pro 9.  Help!?!

Also purchased a lap top.

Does the license allow loading Adobe Pro 9 on both computers?

TY, Sara!

PS: I found the answer to the # computers here (How Many Computers Can You Install or Run Adobe Software On? | ProDesignTools)   "The answer for individuals (as opposed to businesses) in most cases is two.  The catch is that both computers must be used only by you and (for CS) the two systems cannot be used at the same time. This policy was designed so that you could run (say) Creative Suite at home on your desktop PC, as well as while traveling with your laptop. But the types of computers and their usage has blurred so much now that you can just pick any two you own and the product should install and properly activate on both…"

PSS: Just learned from Rahesh that I cannot download Adobe Pro 9, but a discount is available on an upgrade to Adobe Pro XI (New: $449 @ Adobe & $439 @ Amazon; Upgrade for $199 @ Adobe).

I have the information needed, Sara.

TY for your help!
