Adobe Acrobat Sign - Undeliverable

Hi All, I have been using Adobe Acrobat Sign to request sigantures form multiple recipients for many months. The emails of the recipients are saved by default into my platform, so I no longern eed to type each one out. For some reason, the most recent document I sent keeps bouncing back from a number of the recipients and I am getting an 'undeliverable' alert (as the sender) saying the document could not be delivered to the recipient. Is this likeley to be an issue with the recipients emails or Adobe?

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear you’re running into delivery issues with Adobe Acrobat Sign.

If you’re receiving ‘undeliverable’ bounce-back messages for multiple recipients, here are a few things to consider:

In most cases, bounce-back errors are related to the recipient’s email server rejecting or blocking the message. This can happen due to:

  • Misspelled or outdated email addresses
  • Recipient’s inbox being full
  • Strict spam or security filters on the recipient's domain
  • Temporary server issues on their end
  • Since you mentioned the emails are auto-filled from your platform, it might be worth double-checking a few of those email addresses to ensure nothing has changed recently.

Also, some organizations have IT policies that block third-party e-signature emails. You can ask recipients to check with their IT or email admin to see if emails from adobesign@adobesign.com are being blocked or filtered into spam.

If all or most of your requests are bouncing (especially across different domains), it could indicate a broader issue with Adobe’s email delivery system. You can check the Adobe System Status page here: https://adobe.ly/4kNRZup to see if there are any known delivery incidents affecting Acrobat Sign.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the assistance. Did a bit more digging on our side and it turns out it was an email server issue with the email spam filter/fire wall blocking delivery of the emails. This is a bit of an odd situation though because nearly all of the recipients on the signatures list had emails with the same domain name, and the document passed through 4 of those people for signatures successfully before I ran into the undeliverable issue. A similar document was also emailed to all of the same 20 recipients 3 months ago and we had no issues then at all.

I had our IT support look into the spam/firewall filters on our side of things and they added a few of the Adobe emails into the system so they would no longer get blocked. At this minute, it appears to have done the trick. Fingers crossed it is problem solved!!
