BANK STATEMENTS SHOW IN FULL TWO DAYS AGO, NOW TRANSACTIONS SECTION BLANK

Community Beginner ,

I reviewed statements downloaded from client email on Friday using acrobat, as i have for 7 years. Now, when I open them, the bank heading and address block still show at the top of p 1, the check images on p 2 still show, but all transactions that were on p 1 are now blank. Earlier today, the transactions showed when the statements were accessed thru Outlook preview. Now, the preview is no longer available in the email. Earlier today, I was able to open the full statemenrts in Adobe reader, but now that also shows a blank transaction section. This is happening on my laptop and my assistant's desktop, so I know this is an Adobe acrobat issue.

I tried downloading statements from the same bank using my own online profile and the transaction section was blank. I could see them on the bank website but not once they were saved.

Has anyone had this issue?? This was not the case on Friday.

Steps taken:

1) deleted and reloaded acrobat 3x

2) checked for updates

3) cleared Safari cache

4) tried Reader only

5) restarted computer 6x

Hello Karen!

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the inconvenience. The issue of missing text in PDF files has been reported, and the product team is actively working to identify the root cause and provide a fix, which will be available soon.

In the meantime, could you please share a PDF file where the text is missing for further investigation? Also, let us know the current version of your operating system and the version of Acrobat Reader you have installed.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

I'm having the same problem opening bank statements to do income taxes. I can see the trnasactions in the thumbnail preview of the file but only the skeletal design elements are visible on the pages when I open them.

Hi DayTwin,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Please confirm if the issue occurs particularly with bank statements. If yes, then it seems to be the file specific issue and how the file was created.

If there is any sample file which you can share, we can get this checked. Also, share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
