How to remove password protection on pdf file

I'm trying to convert a downloaded bank statement from PDF to Microsoft word.  It is telling me I have to remove password protection.

How do I do this?  In the past this has never come up.

You need Adobe Acrobat and to know the password to do it.

Banks do not usually reveal the password used (I think they make it randomly and do not know it themselves). So you cannot do this.

I clicked on closing the pop up screen 3 times and it worked..  but the pop up still keeps happening when I open a PDF.  but 3 clicks and the pw screen goes away...Adobe this is surely a softward fix!

I don't know what application you used but in Adobe Acrobat and Reader if you don't enter the correct password three times it goes away, but doesn't open the file, of course.
