Is there a way to change the color, or lighten, the highlighter?

Is there a way to change the color, or lighten, the highlighter?  When I highlight test, and then print the doc, the results comes out so dark that the text is no longer readable.

Sorry for the delay.

Yes, you can change the opacity of the highlighter. Which would lighten the color of highlighted text. Following the steps mentioned below you can manage it-

1- Open the document want to highlight the text.

2- Select highlighter tool and highlight the text.

3- Right click on the highlighted text and select properties.

4- Under the Appearance change the opacity>OK
