i have a Creative Cloud subscription and when i try to open Acrobat X, a "Cs6 design and web premium" window comes up and asks me for a serial number. Where do i get this serial number and why is this happening? I thought my subscription allows me to use the different acrobat apps. but currently i can open open without any problems Acrobat DC. Does anyone know what's happening? To what does my creative cloud subscription entitle me?

thanks very much for your help.

Hi Cecilian,

As the information shared above, I checked your account and found a subscription for Acrobat DC registered under it.

Acrobat DC subscription would let you to use the Acrobat DC app only. The reason why you have been asked for the serial number is because you are trying to open Acrobat X which is a very old version of Acrobat series and not a part of Acrobat DC (or CC)

I believe that you bought the CS6 "Design and Web premium suite" in past which is still installed on your computer and

I believe that you bought the CS6 "Design and Web premium suite" in past which is still installed on your computer and that's why your Acrobat X need a serial number for validation.

As Acrobat X is no longer supported- Adobe Acrobat X and Adobe Reader X End of Support | Adobe Document Cloud so would recommend you to continue using Acrobat DC (latest version) subscription. And can uninstall the previous version.

Let us know if there is any trouble using Acrobat DC
