2 step verification at login--CONSTANTLY

Explorer ,
Apr 26, 2017 Apr 26, 2017

I have an individual account that I share with my assistant.

The last month or so, EVERY time she tries to log in from her computer she gets prompted for the 2 step verification--which is unfortunate bc the code gets sent to my email address and if I am not available immediately, she can't log in and do her job.

We have checked our system to make sure that 2 step verification is not activated--and it is def turned off.

She clicks the button to "Don't ask me again" every time she logs in.

How do we stop this ridiculous cycle?  Is this a cookies issue? She uses a Mac and gets the same results using Safari and Chrome.

We have the same problem, and it's starting to become really frustrating, especially since last week. We have several accounts and I can't spend the day forwarding codes to all my colleagues. This is unprofessional and unrequested, since two steps verification is disabled on all accounts.

I've managed to fix this. I stopped my Creative Cloud subscription, deleted all Adobe apps and am now using Open Source or Stand-alone tools. Goodbye Adobe. Your subscription services suck

I managed to fix the situation by changing the mail.

I created a new GMAIL and since I changed my mail in Adobe it now works properly.

I couln't find any other possibility. This was the only one.

Hope it helps!

Same! One Time I didn't get the prompt (luckily, I'm the only user) but it just happened for the 5th time tonight - the frustration of which got me here. I feel your pain!😉

Thank you this post helped!

Adding and confirming a secondary email address seamed to fix the 2 factor nagging.

I had the same problem and never activated the 2 step verification.
The setting in my account was off.

Thank you 🙂

We are having this problem as well. Does the secondary email address have to be on a different domain?  i.e a gmail account and not the company domain email address.

I had this issue and via Telerik Fiddler 4, to monitor the login process for the desktop apps, and then using tamperchrome to observe logging into creative cloud through chrome, it looks like there's some different dependencies that will error out from slow networks, dropped packets or not being able to complete the key signature in the right order.

If you're having the issue on desktop apps, close photoshop / illustrator etc and login via creative cloud desktop app, instead, which I'm sure has some sort of master key manifest in it. If you log in via photoshop or illustrator, I think it checks that master file for CC and since it messes up the order it could flag your desktop app as "potentially pirated" and then force you to verify.

So just sign in via creative cloud app first and then launch photoshop or whatever CC program you're running and see if that works.

I'm pretty certain all this has to do with pirating and will mainly occur on the desktop apps. If it happens in a web browser it's likely just a slow network connection.

Just in case someone at adobe actually reads their support pages (Which I highly doubt, from what I've seen over the years.) This is exactly why people pirate your software. What you're effectively doing is making your software harder and more cumbersome to use than the pirated version. I want to pay for your software, help me do that.

Also struggling with this. I'm trying to log in to do work and I can not be constantly hitting up my boss while they are on vacation. Get rid of this insane verification system and give us a way to verify that does not involve an email or phone number.

Pathetic is an understatement with regard to this issue.

I had to pull into the next services on the motorway on Friday, (35 minutes away), in order to e-mail my colleague a verification code.

I find it incredible that Adobe cannot fix this. There was me thinking disabling two step verification would work. How naïve of me!

Well, crap. It's 2024, seven years after this discussion was started, and I am having the same problem. I guess they never fixed it? Ah, well.
