Hello!

I have an issue where one of my people uses Adobe Sign to send PDFs for signate (as expected), but when the recipient opens the document and then selects the option to download the document as a PDF file, the resulting file has "encrypted" in the name. Is there a way to configure things to download a file that is not using encryption? During the creation process, the checkbox to apply a password is left unchecked, so I am not sure where to exclude encryption comes into play because the recipient is being prompted to enter a password on the downloaded PDF file. Can someone offer guidance?

Hi Matthew318527905qfu,

Sorry about the delay in response.

Could you please confirm if the document gets encrypted after the document is signed or when the signer receives the document for signature and downloads it before adding the signature?

Please check the account settings to see if the password is enabled for the document sent for signature. If you do not have access to account settings, check with your account admin.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
