Adobe Sign Template - "Assigned To: Anyone" + Required field

I just want to verify I'm correct about this as I'm very new to Adobe Sign. I'm trying to create templates for our users, and on the templates we have 2 fields that need to be filled, but can be either pre-filled or entered by the participant. My take on it is this... while "Anyone" seems like the exact setting for this situation, that setting is incompatible with a "Required" field under the current design. When a field is required, then it MUST be pre-filled or you can't send it, making the "Anyone" setting irrelevant. Am I incorrect about this?

My hope was that you could use Anyone and Required, and the result would be that whomever the last person in the workflow was would be required to fill in the field, if it wasn't filled in previously by someone else.

Hi Kris5EEB,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

If you assign a form field to anyone and mark it required, the first recipient will need to fill out the form field to complete it. The scenario will be the same if you prefill the document. You will need to fill in the field to send it further.

As you need these fields to be filled, you may assign them to anyone and add a tooltip for that particular field. You may also leave a message with the form for each signer. For more information, refer to the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/kb/how-to-enable-and-use-private-messages-adobe-sign.html

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
