Auto Delgation

When a user (User A) turns on auto delegation they assign it to another user (User B). The scenario is someone routes a document for approval. They need it approved by User A so they add them as a signer. They also need it signed by User B so they add them as a signer.

What Adobe Sign does is essentially cancels the delegation for User A. Because User A and User B are added as signers it won't complete the approval process. It leaves the document in progress for User A.

How are people handing this? It shouldn't get stuck in someone's queue that has delegated authority.

How would a user know someone has turned on auto delegation when they route a document for approval and then how would they know who they delegated to?

Hi Linda27409308mhh3,

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please confirm whether the auto delegation is set on the user's account or the document sent for signature? If the user has mentioned that he has set the auto delegation, ensure it has been done correctly. Please refer to the information provided in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/kb/how-to-enable-auto-delegation-feature-adobe-sign.html.

It would be helpful if you could share more information on how the document is sent and what happens at the signer's end.

It will help us understand the workflow you are trying to achieve, and we can provide the correct information.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Auto delegation has been set on the user account.

Example,

User A auto delegated on thier account to User B. While this delegation is turned on all documents will be routed to User B.

Sender routes a new document and adds User A and B as signers. (They have no way to know User A delegated to user B).

Now the document gets stuck waiting for approval from user A.

This is a significant problem because documents aren’t getting approved, deadlines are missed, contracts aren’t paid on time, etc.

There are various places to verify the delegation
