I cannot find a way to avoid the automatic field detection and placement function in the new authoring format. Fields that I do not want are "detected" and placed. They have to be deleted individually, as there is no multi-select function for fields that have not been assigned to a signer.

I can get around this problem by switching to the old authoring format, but that format has less functionality for me, and I suspect it won't always be available anyway.
