changing color of my own signature

I used to be able to change the color of my signature by just selecting the big colored dot just the the left of the "sign yourself" choice.  It no longer lets me do that, either beforehand or after the fact.  It will allow me to change other filled-in text, just not sig nor initials.  What's up?

As you have mentioned above, you were able to change the color for the signature and now it does not work.

Please let us know the Adobe application and the tool you were using to fill and sign the PDF. It would be helpful if you can share the screenshot for a better understanding.
