Error message "an error occurred while connecting to the service …".

I just sent two documents for signature with no issue.  I went to send the third document and have been receiving the same error message over and over again.  "an error occurred while connecting to the service".  I have opened and closed the program.

It seems that there was some intermittent issue occurred with the service.
