New Adobe E-Sign is AWFUL!

So I have been using Adobe e-sign for the last year and it has done everything we as a business need it to, however in the last week my adobe has updated and it is awful!
As a company we have an adobe pdf form that we use for employee expense forms, however once these are filled out and sent over to us in accounts to send to the relevant manager for signing, when we send for e-sign through adobe all of the information that has been typed into it disappears and it sends a blank document to the manager to sign. To get around this we have to save every unsigned expense form and then upload and send for signature through the outlook add on, this is very long winded and a duplication of work...
Also, we have forms within the company that need to be sent to a form filler to fill out and then sent on to the manager for signature, the new e-sign doesn't give me the option to select someone as a form filler anymore which means that it no longer serves the purpose!!

We are aware of the issue, and the team is working on the fix. However, there is a workaround that you may try.
In the new request signature experience, fields can be pre-filled by right-clicking on any field -> clicking on customize Field and entering the prefilled value in the left-hand panel.
Check if this helps.
As mentioned, you do not get the option to form filler. Could you please share the screenshot of all the options you are receiving?

Agreed, the new update is absolute garbage. What used to take 3-5 mins now takes up to 20. There are now legitimate improvements, just aesthetic facelifts and things that must have fooled corporate higher up's into thinking it was progress, when it was the exact opposite. Beyond frustrated. Sometime the old addage, if it's not broke... still applies, even with tech.

I'm having the same awful experience. I work for a law firm and use adobe to send attorney-client agreements and other legal forms. Usually the process takes five minutes tops. Today it took me nearly 30 as I tried to navigate this new, unintuitive "experience." Several features are missing. I can no longer attach and send multiple documents for e-signatures at the same time. Instead, I have to individually prepare each one and send them in separate emails. Additionally, when I select a field type on the left panel and add it it into the appropriate field in the document, the field type I select does not carry over. Every single one is defaulting to "Text." For example, "E-signature" defaulted to just "Text." "Intitals" defaulted in the document to just "Text." This means, that I have go into each individual field in the document and manually change the field type. This is a completely unecessary duplication of work. Finally, I do not see an option to "repeat field on every page." As someone who prepares 100+ page documents that need to be initialed on the bottom of every page, the "repeat field on every page" function was essential. Now, I will have to click 100+ times to manually add an initial field on every page instead of the two clicks it used to take.
I did notice that I had the option to use the "legacy experience" -- However, this only gave me the legacy experience for preparing the document for e-signatures. It didn't give me the option to attach multiple documents, set reminders, or change the title of the document, which are features I need in order to be able to utilize the legacy experience.
Perhaps there is a way to do everything I'm trying to do -- but it is not at all intuitive. I shouldn't have to retrain myself on this software.

So I did find that you can go into settings and they have an option to change back to the old version. Still the fact that the new version even made it this far is disgraceful to all involved. people should be getting fired over this garbage.

I tried to go back to the old version and it didn't work!! I'm pulling my hair out with this new e-sign, it's absolutely dreadful!!

Do you know where I can apply the password for them to sign? I go to legacy settings, but it takes me passed that step and I need to send documents with passcodes. I don't know if you ever used those before but on the right side where the email and message was onscreen, there was an option for my 6 digit passcode and an option to change from email signature to passcode sign on the top by their email address.

Here's a new quirk! E-sign is putting random fields in the middle of text and won't let me delete those fields. Fun! I also cannot switch back to the old version like others are recommending.
Looks like we'll be switching to DocuSign.

Agreed! The new update to e-sign is absolute trash. Having pre-populated fields that destroy the data you had in them & not having the ability to turn the auto detection of the forms off so you have to simply drag & drop where you want your fields, signatures etc is beyond comprehensible. We use e-sign daily as an integral part of our business. This new version is enough for me to cancel the subscription & go to docusign. This needs to be fixed fast adobe as it is a terrible update.

DOC-U-SIGN is way better. Easier to use, can setup corporate accounts, the product actually works without IT intervention all the time, and the user experience is smooth compared to this discombobulation of an attempt at e-signing.

As a 20 year user of Adobe products, I can tell you that their Acrobat E-sign is ABSOLUTELY BROKEN. Every aspect of the sending, signing, and storing is a bad user experience. Most of their products are great, but this was a failure. It needs to be scrapped and redesigned and done so quickly before DOC-U-SIGN DESTROYS THEM with their much easier to use product that has a smooth user experience. I love Adobe, but they missed the mark terribly here.

Absolute garbage! And don't expect customer service to help. I'm on the phone with them for the 4th time today, every time the person on the other end will transfer me somewhere else, then the last one went into space or somewhere as I sat waiting for them to return as they said they would. So, so frustrating, and causing my business to lose money and clients isn't a nice thing!

I've got signature fields being added in randomly on other pages. I have not caught this happening and it's so embarassing to have to reroute a document because a random signature field is on some other page and a client lets me know. Then there are the completely unnecessary changes like moving page view to the right marging instead of left. and removing additional tools. WHY??

I came here to look for some answers and was happy to see that I am not the only one who absolutly hates the changes Adobe has implemented. I am straight up ready to quit my job because I use Adobe for so many things and the EVERYTHING has changed. Even the tool bars are a mess. I am beyond infuriated that I was forced to do an "update" and am now stuck with a product that is useless to me.

It continues to be a wrose product then before - templates gone and it seems impossible to create when following the prompts to create, you cannot change an email of a signer any longer (WTH), and in adobe loading agreements in progress always resets when I try and see details. This is a mess!

I would love recommendations on other software platforms for e-sign. Adobe has failed me time and time again, and this update has completely ruined my work. Checkboxes are missing, the free text fields do not wrap. Staging a document for e-sign has completely ruined my documents!

I spent so much time trying to make it work that, needless is to say, wasted valuable time, I simply could not make it work. The instructions and functionamity are horrible! I could not make it work.
This is GARBAGE!
