Is there a way to remove a password from a webform without recreating the form?

There is not currently a way to update/remove the password validation from a web form; you will need to rebuild the form.

However, if your form URL is already published to the world, you can redirect the old web form to the new one by disabling the old web form and providing the new web form URL as the redirect:
