Hi,
I have a lot of Indesign template documents that include Text Tags - https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/using/text-tag.html - so that when I generate a PDF and use Adobe AcrobateSign, Acrobat will automatically recognise these text tags, and convert them to signature, name, date and comany name fields.
In the latest version of Acrobat Pro, when I go through the process of adding recipients to sign the document, it doesn't recognise the text tags. The text just stays as is - {{*Signature_es_:signer1:signature}} - instead of automatically recognising and converting it to a signature field.
A notification comes up that says "Some form fields and features are not accessible in the new version. Switch back to the legacy version to access all previous features."
If I switch back to the previous version, everything works as it should.
Has this feature been dropped from Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Sign moving forward, or do I need to edit my InDesign documents in some way so that the newer version can recognise these fields?
I haven't been able to find any information on this at all, so I am really hoping someone can help me.

Hi Black Barrow,
Thank you for reaching out.
As mentioned, the feature does not work in the latest version. Could you please share the Acrobat Pro version number? Also, confirm the version on which it works fine.
Share the Indesign PDF that you are creating to send for signature. We will try to replicate the behavior. Share the screenshot of the error message. We will get this behavior checked and update you with more information.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi,
Thank you for replying.
- Acrobat Pro version it works in is Continuous Release | Version 2023.008.20470. Function I'm using is 'Request E-Signatures' and Acrobat recognises the text tags.
- Acrobat Pro version it doesnt work in is the same Continuous Release | Version 2023.008.20470. I just change from the new to the old version by going to Menu > Disable new acrobat
Files attached.

Hi,
Any update / progress on this? Pretty sure I'm not Adobe's only customer, so I'm betting I'm not the only one having this issue. To be honest, I'm genuiney surprised this wasn't picked up during testing before the new version was released.
