Fairphone 2 - Android 7 compatible with Capture? When or never?

Hi,

I'm using a Fairphone 2

tech specs here

https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/203478389-What-are-the-technical-specifications-of-t...

though now upgrated to Android 7.1.2 Nougat

I was looking forward to using Capture on this device, unfortunately it turns out the device is not compatible.

1. Since the Fairphone is a modular phone: any measures known I could take to make it compatible?

2. Might Capture-upgrades in the near future solve Adobe's/Capture's team's problem here by any chance?

Request to Adobe: It would be wonderful if you could make your product work on the Fairphone! Can you do that?

Suggestion to Adobe: be more transparant about your products by publishing a list of devices that are known to actually work or not work with your products.

Thanks for any helpful reply,

Cas

HI Cas.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. The product team said that based on your device specs (ARMv7 architecture and API>21) that Capture should be supported on your device.

He asked if you could share the device specs extracted from the CPU-Z app so he can try to determine why your device is showing as not supported.

HI Cas.

I just heard back from the product team. You got the information from the correct place; but, I'm sorry, they need the information from the System tab:

CaptureA.jpg

Will you send that to me?

Sue.

Hi Cas.

I finally have some information for you... Your device is Open GL 2.0 and unfortunately Capture is not supported on devices using that software.

I'm sorry; it's not the answer I was hoping for.

Sue.

hi Sue, tnx, part of my question was:

2. Might Capture-upgrades in the near future solve Adobe's/Capture's team's problem here by any chance?

Can you and the team answer that, are they looking to solving their problem?
