Find matching colors to two given colors

Hi everyone, This might be a stupid question, but I am not a designer and do not have much experience with the Adobe suite. I would like to develop a color theme that is consistent. In the Adobe Color Wheel tool, I only see the possibility to add further colours to my colors.  You can see a screenshot attached on how my interface looks.

 

Any hints appreciated!

    Hi @Alexander38469094aydx , I’m not sure I understand your question—why don’t you want to add more colors? The point of color themes is to create groups of colors that have harmonic relationships. So you could add a 3rd color to your example and choose Triad to create a harmonic triad based on the first color:

     

    The #2c3E50 color rotated to #32523A on the color wheel creates a new triad

    Thanks @rob day! Ahh, I just found the menu for the first time, this solves it! Can you maybe help me understand what kind of option I should choose? Is triad the setting that optimises for color compatibility? Or should I use one of the other options like Square etc. I don't know what they all mean.

    Also, if you are using saved themes in an Adobe app, set the Color Mode to Lab—that will keep the color appearances unchanged when you apply the colors to an RGB or CMYK document or swatch—RGB, and CMYK color mode appearances depend on their color profile assignments.
