Unable to run Express Embed SDK

New Here ,
Oct 30, 2024 Oct 30, 2024

Hi there,

I'm hitting a stumbling block attempting to get the Express Embed SDK to load. I can see a number of other posts in this forum highlighting the same issue, but the threads seem to go quiet with no solution, so I'm raising it again.

I've tried following the Quickstart Guide instructions, both in my own app, as well as running the sample app, and both approaches I keep hitting the same issue: Adobe Express it not available

I've tried to generate new credentials, new projects, but no success. My applications are running with HTTPS and a matching hostname.

Hi there,

I've tried cloning the repo from scratch again and using the embed-sdk-getting-started sample.
Please go through the following checklist (it may sound dumb, I know, but we must rule these out):

  • The /.env file contains your API key wrapped with quotes

  • npm install && npm run start produce this log (please note the 5555 port and HTTPS)

  •  In the Developer Console, the API Key's allowed domain field contains localhost:5555

Hi @dgrieve-litmus  - could you post more details on the issue you're seeing in your console to give the forum some more help in debugging. Thank you

This—or any omission in the above—is what usually bothers Adobe Express.
In my experience, the "Adobe Express is not available" error is due to port issues, (say, 8000 instead of 5555) or http instead of https, whereas the "You do not have access to this service. Contact your IT administrator to gain access" is an API Key issue (e.g., the wrong one is entered in .env).
I hope this helps!

I'm not exactly sure what changed, because I checked out my old branch without changing anything and all of a sudden it's working. I also followed your sample app to the letter and that is now working as well, so I'm marking this as resolved.

Thanks!
