Big issue with AI image generators

I don't know why this is but every AI image generator i've used cannot create legible words or letters. This is something essential for AI image generators to be able to do.

I'm not an expert, but as I understand it, generating legible and consistent text requires a very different AI architecture than genrating other kinds of imagery. So to get good type in an AI generated image would probably require two different systems working together. It's a pretty big technical hurdle.
