So i've been experimenting with firefly. I'm getting wierd results where the program fills in gaps of text or icons that I am attempting to apply materials to. Does anyone know why? The image is a vectro and exported jpeg with no other layers or info in the file. There should be space in the middle of this icon, not extra material.

Try and drag the Strength slider to the very right.

Same result unfortunately.

Your style reference image shows a very compact object, not those single objects. Could that be the issue? What is your prompt for the logo?

its a vector, just like in the instruction videos, the same result happens when I use letterforms like an 'a'.

I do not think the style reference was needed. I generated the image below without it. I also had the same problem @harrison5D90 had even without the style reference.

Hello @harrison5D90,
Is that image transparent? If so, try filling in the transparency with a contrasting colour. If it is not transparent, try inverting the colours.
Please let us know if that helps.
My best,

Thnaks for the idea. No matter what I try (even your siggestion) the middle of the shape keeps getting filled in. Its like Firefly doesnt understand that its a hollow shape. The shape is vector and has no background. I've tried PNG, JPG and also inverting the colours, but get the same results????

Hello @harrison5D90,
Can you please share the structure reference file? If you do not want to post here, feel free to private message me with it.

Not sure why this was so hard. After about 25 tries....
From there, "generate similar" generated some variations:
Hope you can replicate.

Thnaks Droopy. 25 tries? You rendered it 25 times to get the result? Maybe I had not tried enough times to get the result. Did you initially get the same result as me with the middle being filled in?

There is no need for 25 attempts, the problem is in the Prompt that does not describe in words the correct result. Use the term space for text (default in other iA)

Ok. Thanks. i'll give that a go. The prompt was copied across from a youtube tutorial which seemed to work for the author but not for me.

I changed the prompt each time. I started with what you had and kept adding/re-arranging.
You can click on the prompt in my message above and it will take you to the generation page (if you did not know that).

I saw. Thank you very much for the help! Is there a prompt that would enable the 'object' to appear as if it is flaoting? All the images generated so far have the item as if on a wall or floor. I am trying to make it so the 'items' are not attached to anything as if hovering so that they are easier to edit into png's in photohsop.

You can try "floating", but you might also have to change the "isolated on white" as well.

Thanks. I'll try that too. It take so much experimentation doesent it! The youtibe videos make it look like it takes 3 clicks and thats it.

The Youtube videos cut out all the trial and error! 😂

I have asked one of those creators about their video. They said it was a total of 2 hours of video and they entered the same prompt about 300 times.

I can totally believe that. However, if they have spent 2 hours forumating the prompts, why does copying those prompts not generate the same results?

There is randomness that does not guarantee the same results in each generation.

Add the "space for text" prompt to force firefly to remove the center.
