The old mansion on the hill had always been shrouded in mystery. One stormy night, curiosity got the better of Lily, a young writer seeking inspiration. She ventured inside, her flashlight flickering. Shadows danced on the decaying walls as the wind howled through broken windows.

In the grand hall, Lily found a dusty mirror. As she wiped it clean, a cold hand clutched her shoulder. She spun around, but no one was there. Her reflection, however, showed a gaunt, ghostly figure standing behind her. Heart pounding, she backed away, tripping over a loose floorboard.

A whisper echoed, "Leave before it’s too late." The room grew colder, the whisper turning into a menacing chant. Terrified, Lily fled, stumbling down the stairs. As she reached the front door, it slammed shut. The whisper now screamed, "You belong to us!"

The next morning, the mansion stood silent. Lily was never seen again.
