I am able to add any non-variable Adobe Fonts font to my web project and it becomes available in Webflow immediately. However, none of the variable fonts I’ve tried will show up in the font dropdown in the editor.
Additionally, the fonts DO show up in the list of fonts being included in my web project on the Adobe side.

Ok there's a new wrinkle to this: variable fonts DO show up, you just can't use more than one weight. Apparently this works fine if you upload the font directly or use Google Fonts... so some of the breakdown here is Adobe related.
The other part is: only ONE Adobe Font makes it through to Webflow. If you add multiple, only the first one shows up in your list of fonts. I had added a non-variable first, then was trying to add the variable, which is why I thought variables didn't work in the first place.
Any way you slice it, there's a lot going wrong here. Super, super frustrating. Get it together, Adobe.

+1 here. Adobe Variable fonts are unusable in Webflow. It's already becoming annoying we can't even download these fonts locally to avoid this entire mess.

Incredibly frustrating for me too. I thought it was gonna be bad news when Adobe bought Figma - I didn;t think that even NEARLY buying Figma would start to wreck it.

It's been two years, I'm still having this problem. Is there any update?

Hi @Michael5D50,
Thanks for your patience. After checking with our product team, I'd like to inform you that this is a limitation in how Webflow loads variable fonts from both Adobe & Google. They have documented on their website that they do not support variable fonts from either service: https://adobe.ly/3Gwfs5e
We hope Webflow will be able to expand support in the future, and users may share the request with them at https://adobe.ly/44vudNG
Regards,
Tarun
