I've just moved over to a new Macbook Pro, spent ages importing all my purchased etc. fonts into Fontbook, and now Illustrator is telling me the fonts I've used in past designs (this morning on my old laptop) aren't available. Is there any way to import all fonts from Fontbook into Creative Cloud without having to individually add them?

Fonts that are local to your PC are available to your Adobe applications. However, if they are Type1 fonts, they are no more supported.

Check with a different application, if the font is accessible. I would suggest using Word or Pages.
