i am trying to download Adobe fonts using the CC and everything that I am seeing online says to activate font. There is no option to activate, only to add font or add family.
I click on this and it appears that I have added the font, but when I go to CC to check on installed fonts, there is nothing there. If I go back to the font library, the font is still added.
Nothing I am reading or watching online is helping. The steps are not corrosponding. This is obviusly an upgrade issue because I have done it in the past and I can see previous fonts that I have downloded.
Can anyone advise the steps I need to do? Or suggest a recent Youtube clip I can watch to step me through this. Because I am loosing it right now!!!
I have attached a pic to show that I am only seeing 'add font" or "add family" not "activate"
TIA.

The verbiage to "activate" fonts has been gone for some time. In the past it was possible to manage Adobe Fonts just from the website. Now it takes a combination of the Adobe Fonts web site and the Creative Cloud desktop app.
When a type family or invidual fonts in that family are "added" using the Adobe Fonts website those fonts should be immediately available to Adobe applications. In order to use Adobe Fonts in other applications not made by Adobe they have to be "installed" using the Creative Cloud desktop app.
When you click the "Add Family" or "Add font" buttons at the Adobe Fonts website it should launch a pop-up window giving you the option to open the CC Desktop App. I have personally seen some glitches with that shortcut lately. I just open the CC Desktop app from the shortcut on my computer's desktop.
The Fonts section in the CC Desktop can list Added Fonts in two ways, "All Fonts" or "Recently Added." Any fonts added from the Adobe Fonts website should be visible at the top of the list in the Recently Added column. The fonts listings will say if they're available "in Adobe apps" or "in Adobe & other local apps." You have to click the "Install family" button to make the fonts visible to other local apps.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am seeing some of the fonts in my applications, but some arent coming through. it was those that I was initially looking at when I posted, so maybe there is a glitch with these and I might just cut my losses. Also, based on some info I just read from Adobe, the reason I'm not seeing the fonts in my CC area is because apparently, there is no longer any synching of libraries. If this is NOT the case, then I am still having trouble of NOT seeing any added fonts in my CC desktop app. And I dont know how I am supposed to rectify this.
Is the synching issue going to affect fonts as well as documents etc??

Synching of CC Libraries should not affect typefaces served up by Adobe Fonts. It is possible for fonts added via Adobe Fonts to be affected by other applications running in the background. That could be a rival graphics application not made by Adobe. Or it could be a font management application. I've also seen issues with some "super font" families not having all styles show up due to issues in the operating system. I think Windows 11 is a little better about it than Windows 10. At the core, these operating systems still think any typeface has only 4 styles (regular, bold, italic and bold-italic). When a type family has upwards of 100 different font files the OS can be thrown for a loop. It can also get tricky when duplicates of the same typeface get installed, either in different font formats (static vs variable, etc) or from different type foundries.
Which fonts are not showing up? Are they not appearing in Adobe applications or are they missing in other applications not made by Adobe?

Hi @Milkmaid70, if the fonts are not showing in the CC desktop application once you have clicked 'add' on the website then I’d double check you are signed into the same account in both places. If they are still not showing please let me know and we can look into it further for you.
Best,
Jake

Hi Jake,
I tried replying to your email, but your box says its full. I am def signed in on same account to both places. When I click add on website, nothing appears in CC. And I supposed to do something extra in CC to "activate" or install it?

UPDATE: Some fonts are coming across, but others not. I might cut my losses with those.

Hi @Milkmaid70, hmm I’m not sure what information you found about Libraries but that should be unrelated to this issue. Could you let me know which fonts are working and which are not? A screenshot of the CC desktop app could help troubleshoot the issue some more too.
Thanks,
Jake
