Hi,

I am using Adobe font on our website. When I load my website, the font shows too big for a second, and then the actual font is displayed. For this when I am testing my website on the google page speed insight tool, the CLS issue shows.

How can I solve this problem? Here is my website link.

Hi Soma22496123slja,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble. When I opened the link at my end on my chrome browser, it shows up fine-

Could you please try using a different browser and see if that helps? Please share the name of the font you're using.

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi Harshika,

I have checked the site on chrome (Version 96.0.4664.110) and Firefox
(Version 96.0) incognito browsers, and both on the browsers, I have seen
the problem.

We used the below fonts on the website.
1. aktiv-grotesk
2. mongoose

Soma Basu

Thanks for checking on other browser. We would suggest you to please go through this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/using/font-display-settings.html that gives some options for mitigating the flash of unstyled text

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi Harshika,

I read your shared document and used auto as font-display value. But it's
not solving my problem. Is there any other way we can use it?

Regards,
Soma Basu

Thanks for trying the steps, Soma22496123slja. Could you please try the Block option from the article to block any text from displaying until the web fonts are loaded?
