Often times I want to choose a font that best fit a particular text. I want a font chooser software to help me narrow down the choices until there is one left.
I want the ability to
- enter a sample text to be displayed using all fonts installed
- eliminate the choices until I am left with only one choice
- quickly filter out serif fonts, san serif fonts, dingbats, etc
- be able to create my frequently used font subset (e.g. elegant hand script)
I think experience designers don't bother with this because they already store all the typefaces in their head, but I'm just a newbie. This may explain why such software, if available in the adobe creative suite, is not immediately obvious to me.
Does adobe have something like this? If not, can I ask for recommendation on non adobe alternatives?
