Hello,
I would like to change the name of the Arno Pro in order to duplicate it without all the sub-fonts (Caption, Subhead, Display, Small text). Is this possible?
More precisely, I like use the Arno Pro in an application (Dorico from Steinberg) which dont allow to choose between the diferent sub-fonts, but when I choose Arno Pro, the App gives me the Caption by default. So I thought I would just duplicate the Regular and give it another name so that I could choose it in the said application. How do I name a font like this?
Thank you in advance.
Renaming a font requires (a) a font editor - a highly specialist app, Adobe do not make or sell a font editor (b) a license allowing font editing (c) the font file.
Your wish fails completely on (c) if you are using the Adobe Fonts subscription service, since you do not get a font file.

Thank you for your answer; its a pitty there is not other solution.
I tried to use FontLab with succes.
Note that Dorico is not the only app who confusesthe sub-fonts; Adobe Acrobat itselve imposes the sub-font you did not request.
