I didn't know there was a bold version of Papyrus. I've only seen two variants of it, the original 1983 Letraset cut by Chris Costello and the crummy looking version Microsoft commonly bundles into the Windows OS and MS Office products.
No other typefaces look similar to Papyrus unless they're copycat knock-offs (such as URW "Pallas").
These days whenever Papyrus is mentioned I can't help but think of the hilarious SNL video sketch "Papyrus" starring Ryan Gosling. The whole thing is brilliant but the end of it had me laughing hard. Gosling's character personifies how I feel when I see default Arial on outdoor signs, often squeezed and stretched to fit into a tight space. It really gets on my nerves at times.

Oh man, Bobby, that is absolutely great!
I did find a Papyrus bold which I am using to resurrect a very old project. I know I've been warned off Papyrus from several directions but in this case, I needed it. LOL I'll never use it again, I promise.

I actually don't mind seeing Papyrus used in graphics work if the use is appropriate. But it takes at least some creative talent regarding type to know what "feels" right. Yet Papyrus is very commonly available as a system font. So we have a combination of so many people with no design sense misusing Papyrus and they're working with a version of Papyrus that doesn't in my opinion look as good (or space as well) as the original 1983 version. The one bundled into the Windows OS is very different from the Letraset version when compared side by side. Back in the early 1990's I liked Papyrus quite a bit. I even bought a Letraset "Fontek" version of it sold as a retail item in computing stores; it came on a 1.44MB floppy disc.
