.aaf is not importing into Media Encoder

Hey There,

I'm trying to import an .aaf file from avid into media encoder but its not reading the file. In fact is says " .aaf could not be imported. The file format is not supported." When I look at Adobe Media Encoder it says it supports .aaf files. At first I thought it was because my encoder was out of date so I updated it with the latest patch. So far it has fixed nothing. Is there anyone who can help me figure out what I am doing wrong?
