Adding item to queue for transcoding is very slow in Encoder 2023. Any suggestions how to change this?

Thanks Agnieszka Freeman,
the video makes it really clear. So my guess it has something to do with the Network or Mapped Network drive. Depending on Map or direct Network access there could be differences on the performance too. Please try to copy it locally via the Explorer and meassure the time. This should be the 'normal' read time your system or network connection needs. If you have a local copy, just use the Media Browser and import this file and meassure the time. It could be that you are seeing some variation when you are doing it multiple time, depending on our internal caching. Is this faster or does it take the same time as in the video?
So first we need to see if there is a network related issue, second if we are doing something strange. In some cases we need to read the complete media to get all required data for processing. That depends on the source file and the internal source file structure. For others all information are available direct in the file, so the read is quick. Then you will have the additional time when you are starting encoding.
Another point could be the related network-drive Driver itself. If we need to perform some Seek on the file and the Drive OR the Storage Driver itself didn't cache some data, this could be expensive in a timely manner.
Happy to hear about your findings,
Sven S.
